Get to Know our Team
Grabber Technology Solutions (GTS) aims to be a technology leader that provides predictive and seamless experiences to all Grab employees (Grabbers). We are a diverse team of technology practitioners looking to out-serve Grabbers with positive, personalised enterprise technology experiences. We are looking for individuals who share our customer-centric and purpose-driven values to join our growing team.
Get to Know Your Role
We are looking for a high-calibre, strategic Salesforce Solution Architect to join our GTS Commercial Systems leadership team. This is not a role confined to feature delivery; you are the primary technical authority and steward for the Salesforce platform within our complex, multi-cloud ecosystem. Your mandate is to define the design and functionality of the solution, ensuring it meets the long-term strategic goals of important strategic initiative programme while maintaining the highest standards of quality and scalability.
You will improve technical debt, establish design governance, and serve as a bridge between GTS, Product, Engineering, and Partners. You will translate complex requirements into architectural blueprints, ensuring that every change strengthens our system rather than adding complexity. You will synthesise insights across teams at scale, while you mentor a team of developers and architects to foster a culture of engineering excellence.
This is a Techno-Managerial position reporting to the Head of Commercial Systems. You will manage a small team and work onsite at our office in Bangalore.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Solution Integrity & Design Authority
- Lead the gathering of complex requirements and translate them into detailed end-to-end solution designs, data models, and process flows that align with Grab's "OneGrab" vision.
- Be the final point of technical approval for all high-level designs, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and performant before implementation work begins.
- Be the primary member of the Platform Integrity Review Board, defining and enforcing unified architectural principles and coding standards across all commercial systems.
- Guide the modularisation of Salesforce components using LWC and Apex Service Layers and reduce system dependencies.
Technical Debt & System Health
- Identify and lead the remediation of architectural, code, and documentation debt, ensuring the platform evolves toward a sustainable "green" health state.
- Lead semi-annual Platform Hygiene Reviews to identify and remove orphan components, unused fields, and inefficient configurations that hinder performance.
- Partner with engineering leads to embed compliance controls and rigorous testing protocols (e.g., asserting outcomes, not just coverage) into the Software Development Life Cycle.
Strategic Roadmap & Leadership
- Be the primary technical advisor to senior leadership on the long-term Salesforce roadmap, evaluating new technologies such as Agentforce and Data Cloud for strategic fit.
- "Shape demand" by partnering with team members early in the discovery phase to assess the feasibility, impact, and strategic agreement of new programmes.
- Be the internal authority for all vendor-led delivery, ensuring that partners (MSPs/SIs) strictly follow internal architectural standards and that important decisions remain with the internal GTS team.
- Design and oversee secure, fault-tolerant integrations between Salesforce and external platforms (ERP, Data Lakes) using APIs and middleware like MuleSoft.
Mentorship & Team Growth
- Enhance the technical capabilities of the GTS team through active coaching, code reviews, and shared learning sessions.
- Establish and lead technical Communities of Practice (CoPs) for Salesforce architecture and development to foster learning and professional growth.
