The Senior Solutions Architect – Marketing Technology works with user groups and cross-functional stakeholders to solve complex business problems through the design and integration of scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions spanning hardware, software, databases, cloud platforms, and peripherals. This role serves as a strategic and technical bridge between business requirements and technical execution, supporting new use cases and capabilities emerging from Next Best Action (NBA) and Consumer Health Programs (CHP) initiatives. Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors, exercised with considerable latitude and without direct supervision.
The Senior Solutions Architect translates business needs into end-to-end technical systems solutions. This role integrates hardware, software, and network interfaces to form cohesive, enterprise-grade systems while beginning to influence departmental strategy. The incumbent makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, performing work with significant autonomy and exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
As a senior contributor, the Solutions Architect partners closely with business analysts, product owners, engineering teams, and marketing technology stakeholders to design architectures that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with organizational and regulatory standards. This position plays a key role in establishing internal best practices, standardizing solution delivery, and contributing to organizational knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Implementation: Develop high-level and detailed architecture for software, cloud, data, and marketing technology solutions tailored to business requirements, with a focus on scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, marketing technology product owners, account managers, and engineering teams to gather requirements, present solution proposals, and ensure technical designs meet business objectives for programs such as NBA and CHP.
- Technical Leadership: Provide architectural oversight, guide development teams through implementation, mentor junior engineers and architects, and serve as a subject matter expert across assigned technology domains.-
- System Evaluation and Optimization: Assess existing systems and integrations, identify opportunities for improvement, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure solutions comply with enterprise and industry standards.-
- Innovation and Technology Assessment: Evaluate emerging technologies and platforms, determine feasibility and fit, and integrate new tools to enhance system performance and capability in support of evolving marketing technology needs.
- Documentation and Compliance: Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications, solution proposals, and integration blueprints while ensuring all designs adhere to regulatory, security, and organizational standards.
- Pre-Sales and Strategic Contribution: Participate in RFP responses, technical presentations, and cross-functional planning sessions, contributing architectural perspective to enterprise-level decisions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field-
- 5 or more years of progressive information technology experience directly related to architecture/engineering, information security, or another specialized technology discipline
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions across cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), software development, relational and NoSQL databases, networking, and/or cybersecurity
- Proven ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into actionable, scalable technical designs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to act as an effective bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in marketing technology platforms, data-driven personalization, or member-facing digital programs
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and integration technologies (e.g., Kafka, Redis, API gateways)
- Master's degree in a related field or relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
- Prior experience supporting healthcare, insurance, or similarly regulated enterprise environments
Additional Information
This position is primarily based at the Waterside Building in Louisville, KY, with potential for hybrid flexibility. Occasional travel may be required for team collaboration, stakeholder meetings, or program support activities. The Senior Solutions Architect reports to senior technology or engineering leadership and operates as a key contributor within the Solutions Architecture job family.
